Back in the Horse Market

I've spent the summer working on my fitness, but even now that I am back in shape my balance is worse than before the concussion I sustained in February. I probably can't be retested until I head to Wellington in January, but I'm guessing I will be regraded as a 1B level para equestrian.

I am realigning my choice of mount accordingly, and Lauren Palmer, who traveled with me to Germany last summer, will be competing Biara in Aiken on the 13th. We plan to make a sales video and offer her for sale later in the summer. Meanwhile I am once again in the market for a horse: this time I'm looking for something less fancy and very safe, and possibly a little smaller.

Meanwhile, I am riding a 14.3 (a bit too small!) school horse and doing 1B tests for practice. I've been taking lessons with Michelle's husband David 5-6 days per week and started riding with Michelle again yesterday. It's good to be back in the swing of things and have a better idea of how we'll handle things going forward.

I'm enjoying a visit with an old friend today, and trying to stay cool in the sweltering Charleston summer heat.

If anyone is interested in Biara or has information about a suitable horse for sale, please get in touch!
